My wife agrees with you. She takes a salad to work about every day, and she rinses all the greens then spins them dry.

You'd have a hard time getting me to give up my cheap little B+D steamer, too. It is fantastic for making fluffy rice, and it gets used to steam fiddleheads, asparagus, and other delicate vegetables.

We have a pretty large one made of stainless mesh that gets used for making hibiscus-blossom tea.
