of why a persion would need to test for acid and base?

i don't get your question what do u really want to know do u want to know the use of acid base analysis or something else?
 
its got a purpose if you wabt to test what concentration of say acid or base was in the body so you would know ho much acid or base you would need to neutralise it so that it wasnt harmful
