Dear All,

I have a doubt whether galvanometer detects displacement currents due to time varying electric field or not?please let me know,if anybody have an idea about this.

What would be the characteristics of the galvanometer you are proposing? How would it be 'connected' into the experiment? Would the current appear in the polarisation of the medium?
