Some argue that living without electricity could promote a healthier, more self-reliant lifestyle, suggesting alternatives like solid fuel for heating and cooking. Others express skepticism, highlighting the challenges of modern living without electrical appliances, such as refrigerators and washing machines. Concerns about pollution from solid fuels and the historical context of energy use are also raised, with references to ancient civilizations. Awwww thanks.

But I must confess, I would have electric, if they were not going to charge me $6,000.00 {US} to run it underground from the nearest junction box.

rather hurts when one has it up one don't you know.

I am sure you only tease me about your confusion, but if you have never had
a jolt of lectrictisity you would not know the feeling as it surges through your body causing all sorts of spasms.
But enough of that are you going to enlist?

I wonder if we're still allowed to use electricity as long as we use it outside?

I just remembered something, I can't live without a fan. :frown: Fans don't use much energy.

Wolram, can I use my fan, please? :shy:

I'm a computer addict, too. Almost turned into a PF addict as well. BTW, is there any anual fee for being a fool member?

My life support centre AKA my home office would cease to exist.

transmogrified at 9Pm next micklmass tuesday.

  • #74

  • #75
What about solar power?

  • #76
And let's not forget bicycle power. They powered all sorts of things with bicycles on Gilligan's Island.

  • #77
Ok Brewy can have batteries and we can use the power of the sun, that was
a clever idea Evo, i think you can have your own R&D dept, i have been
attempting to catch cow gas but i am run of my feet, may be i should put them
all together and get another plastic bag? and Rose that is a good idea, but
bicycles are expensive to make so we can have monocycles.
I have almost perfected my ant powered treadmill and working on a way to
make it smaller, just think ant powered radios.
