Double slit experiment question

Have there been any experiments done where a particle was detected to go through one or the other slits when after the detector was destroyed before the data could be known by a human? Does the detector's detection alone determine a particle rather than a wave behavior?

Chris, have you read the 2 or 3 threads on double-slit experiments further down the list? Lots of good discussion there. Though if you read them all you may not be able to find your car keys not to mention understanding the double slit experiment. LOL
