Homework Statement



What does [tex]^{3}H(d,n)^{4}He[/tex] mean? I assume it means Helium goes to tritium or is it the other way around?

It's another way to write:

[tex]^{3}H\,+\,^{2}H\,\longrightarrow\,^{4}He\,+\,^{1}n[/tex]

with [itex]^{2}H\equiv\,D[/itex] being the symbol for Deuterium.
