I don't know if this is (the most beneficial) place to post this but...

This notion seems to be under attack with politics and dronwing any science.

Is this claim wrong or right?

Alas, you are https://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=367803".

But, despite the subjectivity of your question (wrong or right?) I think it is safe to say that it is definitiely an extremely charged issue and manipulated by many for political ends.

Drowning? Dunno - that's just a metaphor.

Politics is perception... physics is reality.

Money equals speech the SCOTUS has ruled. The reason it seems that politics is drowning out science is because the people and their corporations use their money/speech to influence the political perspective.

The science is something else entirely. Unfortunately, after tonight we will no longer be able to discuss the science of global warming in the Earth forum.

Maybe you can ask the same question on the https://www.physicsforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20"

This is stupid.

If the science cannot be discussed, what use is this forum?

I think the existence of your post answers the question: is it the science being discussed? Or is it the politics? PF can't sort it out.
