AI Thread Summary
Qwiki Alpha is a new online encyclopedia that offers concise and clear descriptions, which some users find preferable to Wikipedia. However, it has significant drawbacks, including being heavily flash-based, which limits accessibility and the ability for users to edit content. This flash dependency raises concerns about how to extract information for personal use. Additionally, the content on Qwiki Alpha is compiled from various sources, including Wikipedia, leading to questions about the originality and reliability of the information presented. Users are encouraged to verify the descriptions against other reputable sources.
