Hello! I am a new member. I am a retired Engineer very interested in Cosmology and Quantum Physics but no formal education in the later. I am a self-learner and have read many of the popular books written for the general public in these areas. I have a lot of questions and would appreciate occasional conversations with those who have chosen these fields as their life's work. I am hoping to find answers, occasionally maybe provide some answers to others, and perhaps introduce a few thought provoking questions. Best Regards!

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
