Hello, everyone. I am a science enthusiast, I suppose, given that I'm skeptical whether college is for me, but I spend some of my time playing with physics ideas. I hope to get further in my understanding through self study and creating computer simulations.

Right now Python and C. My next project is to make interactive simulations, so I need to learn something like JavaScript.

I find the easiest way for me to digest physics concepts and test that I understand them is to teach them to a computer.

Checkout Open Source Physics at www.compadre.org. Its a large collection of physics sims and library methods to handle ordinary differential equations for sims. You'll need Eclipse or Netbeans IDE and learn some java. We used the code in a Computational Physics course along with the book and it was awesome.

The book is by Gould and Tobochnik:

Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics. I wanted to join a science forum, especially one dedicated to Physics and maths, to apply these subjects to my engineering studies. I hope to learn a lot through this forum. Thank you for your warm welcome.
