Homework Statement



Two uniformly charged spheres are firmly fastened to and electrically insulated from frictionless pucks on an air table. The charge on sphere 2 is three times that on sphere 1. Which force diagram correctly shows the magnitude and direction of the electrostatic forces?

c.Figure 3

The Attempt at a Solution



Is the correct choice e. Figure 5?? Each sphere would have the same magnitude of force if Coulomb's Law is followed but each sphere's electric force would point in the opposite direction in adherence to Newton's Third Law??
