gdaigle, who recently joined PF, started this thread in Quantum Physics forum

https://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=90280

Every year there is a "Nobel Conference" at a college in Minnesota called Gustavus Adolfus college. they choose a theme and get half a dozen eminent and good speakers each of which talks about some aspect of the theme. this year the theme was Albert Einstein, life contribution to science, humanity---that sort of thing.

gdaigle attended the conference, in October, and took notes and reported
in that thread. for some reason I missed the thread until just now. those who did notice it, like ZapperZ, were pleased and appreciative.

I'll add my thanks and put a link here in "QG" forum in case anyone else doesn't regularly visit the other one and missed it as I did.

I seem to notice a buildup of papers like this: Detecting single gravitons with quantum sensing. (OK, old one.) Toward graviton detection via photon-graviton quantum state conversion Is this akin to “we’re soon gonna put string theory to the test”, or are these legit? Mind, I’m not expecting anyone to read the papers and explain them to me, but if one of you educated people already have an opinion I’d like to hear it. If not please ignore me. EDIT: I strongly suspect it’s bunk but...
