AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around two individuals with severe medical conditions featured in a Discovery program. One individual has a weak immune system leading to extensive wart growths, while the other, known as "no face man," suffers from large tumors on his face, which are life-threatening as they invade his brain. The latter individual, a Jehovah's Witness, refuses blood transfusions necessary for surgery, complicating his situation. The conversation also references a previous thread about these cases and mentions a fictional character, "ManBearPig," in a humorous context. The urgency of medical intervention for "no face man" is highlighted, with hopes that doctors have found solutions since the last discussion.

Just watched this on discovery, the guy had a weak immune system which allowed
massive wart growths on his hands and feet.

Another was the man with no face, he had tumours bigger than his head on his face
worth watching but horrible.

There was a thread here about this guy recently. Hopefully doctors have figured out a way to help him by now.

This still doesn't beat ManBearPig. Half man, half bear, half pig.
I'm super cereal!

The face man is hard to watch, he is a jehovah's witness and so refuses blood transfusions
he will need for the opp to remove the growth, if he does not have the opp he will die as the tumour is growing into his brain.

Similar to the 2024 thread, here I start the 2025 thread. As always it is getting increasingly difficult to predict, so I will make a list based on other article predictions. You can also leave your prediction here. Here are the predictions of 2024 that did not make it: Peter Shor, David Deutsch and all the rest of the quantum computing community (various sources) Pablo Jarrillo Herrero, Allan McDonald and Rafi Bistritzer for magic angle in twisted graphene (various sources) Christoph...
