AI Thread Summary
Diana DeGette, the author of Colorado legislation aimed at limiting high-capacity magazines, has faced criticism for her apparent lack of understanding regarding firearms terminology, specifically confusing bullets, clips, and magazines. This raises concerns about the competence of lawmakers in crafting effective gun control legislation. The discussion highlights a broader issue where politicians may not fully grasp existing firearm regulations or the products available on the market, potentially leading to ineffective or misinformed legislation. The conversation underscores the importance of informed policymaking in the context of gun control.

100 round drum magazine and a slide stock. Just what every hot head needs. It doesn't matter what people call it or if they mispronounce it if they know what it is capable of.

The problem with politicians is that most of them apparently don't realize what is already legally on the market or what is in the pipe line.

Peru was still suffering the ills of a recent civil war and I knew it was dicey, but the money was too good to pass up. It was a long trip to Lima; about 14 hours of airtime...
