How Can I Create A Powerful Electromagnetic Field

AI Thread Summary
To create a powerful electromagnetic field using magnetic wires, one can use a coil design with a diameter similar to that of an average water bottle, ensuring the coil is thick and has a height of 1 to 2 inches. The effectiveness of the electromagnetic field can be enhanced by incorporating additional materials, such as a ferromagnetic core, which can help concentrate the magnetic field. For sourcing superconducting materials, users are advised to check specialized suppliers or online marketplaces that focus on scientific and engineering materials. The discussion also includes a request to move the thread to a more appropriate category for better visibility.

Can somebody tell me how can i create a powerful electromagnetic field using magnetic wires. I don't want it to be big. The diameter of the circle should be as big as an average water bottle. It can be really thick but the height should be about 1 to 2 inches. I guess i can buy some other materials to help it make it better.

Also can somebody tell me where i can buy a superconducting material? Thanks!

Sorry i put this thread in the wrong place.
Can somebody move it to general physics?
Again, sorry.

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
