AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the feasibility of sizing perpetual motion wheels and pulleys to achieve 18/20 horsepower at 1800-2000 RPM. Participants highlight that perpetual motion is impossible according to the laws of physics, making the quest for such a design fundamentally flawed. Additionally, the topic of perpetual motion is banned on the forum, suggesting that inquiries should be redirected elsewhere. The mention of using earth magnets to drive the wheels raises further skepticism about the practicality of the concept. Overall, the thread emphasizes the impossibility of achieving perpetual motion and advises seeking information from other sources.

looking for information ( or source) on sizing of propetual motion wheels plus pulley /gear sizing to generate a outcome power equal to a 18/20 hp engine. note it only needs to turn 1800-2000 rpm at final drive. Earth magnets will turn the propetual wheels. thanks in advance for all/any inputs.

Here's an input - perpetual motion is impossible!

Perpetual motion is also on the list of banned topics here. There are plenty of other places on the internet where this is discussed.

I have recently been really interested in the derivation of Hamiltons Principle. On my research I found that with the term ##m \cdot \frac{d}{dt} (\frac{dr}{dt} \cdot \delta r) = 0## (1) one may derivate ##\delta \int (T - V) dt = 0## (2). The derivation itself I understood quiet good, but what I don't understand is where the equation (1) came from, because in my research it was just given and not derived from anywhere. Does anybody know where (1) comes from or why from it the...
