I'm a high school student working through some analysis and economics textbooks. I struggle a fair amount in math, which is why I sometimes post here and elsewhere looking for hints on problems or statements in my books that confuse me. Thank you!

Think of Math as a language. When you learn the rules, and start to use them, it's not such a big deal. You didn't learn to speak English in one year, and are still learning new phrases and words, right? Keep on reaching, you'll get there. When I first took Engineering Calc in college, It made no sense to me. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't decode the structure. Frustrated, I audited the course. I'd always had such an easy time in math. Then I retook the class a few months later. All of a sudden, it just 'clicked'. Made so much sense that I barely had to crack a book to get an A. A different instructor, a bit of a break from banging my head against the wall, and voila! I was able to get the rhythm of it. All the rest of my Calc classes were easy as pie from there! Keep looking for the understanding, and it will be there! Welcome!

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
