I'm an ex industrial designer with 5 patents who's now a college prof. I won a national award for innovation on one of the patents in 1994. I have a few atlas shrugged stories of my own, and if you heard them you'd know why I abandoned a corporation I'd created that had successfully completed many industrial research projects and ended up teaching. I am currently a project lead on a few applied research projects at the college I teach at. I somehow ended up here from a Google search which was totally unrelated. After seeing a post on a problem a guy had with a pump, and reading the dialogue, I figured out a solution and so joined so I could post it. I love problem solving and have had a pretty good track record doing that so hopefully I can be useful to the site and its members.
