Homework Statement

Alright I am not sure how to integrate this:

Integrate

1/ { [ x (^2) + a (^2) ] [^(3/2)] }

For a more clear expression click here: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hba… And see the expression after the line that says : The integral required to obtain the field expression is.

And I want the answer as the same in that site. How do we do it?

substitute x= a * tan(u)

then find dx/du. and then simplify that badboy

i did it very quickly and got arctan(x/a)/a²

i can also guess your bounds, and say that the answer could be pi/2a²

Were you able to find it?
Please let me know.. It' s important.
