How Does a Background in Science Enhance a Career in Music?

I'm supposed to introduce myself or put out an actual question? Unclear. Anyway, I'm a 61-year-old musician, music teacher and composer who has also worked with many scientists back in the day, my primary scientific interests being in bioacoustics, psychobiology, complexity theory and cosmology. I can drop a few names but will not unless challenged because of my Right-Brain-oriented occupation. Thanks.
