How Electric Field Is Associated With Light

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the relationship between electric fields and light, specifically addressing the nature of photons as chargeless particles. It highlights that while photons do not carry charge, electric fields can exist independently of a source, although a source is necessary for their production. The conversation references Maxwell's equations and the wave equation as foundational concepts in understanding these phenomena.

PREREQUISITES
  • Maxwell's equations
  • Wave equation
  • Understanding of photons and their properties
  • Concept of electric fields
NEXT STEPS
  • Study Maxwell's equations in detail
  • Explore the wave equation and its applications in electromagnetism
  • Investigate the properties of photons and their role in electromagnetic radiation
  • Learn about the generation and behavior of electric fields in various contexts
USEFUL FOR

Physicists, electrical engineers, students of electromagnetism, and anyone interested in the fundamental principles of light and electric fields.

Electric field is associated with ligt and light is made of photons but photons are chargeless praticles. so from where this electric field comes or what is the origin of this electic field.

Are you familiar with Maxwell's equations and the wave equation?

The Electric field can exist independent of a source although it needs a source to produce it. This is not the answer to your question, but its something interesting to think about :)
