In summary, the person is seeking advice on how to study for upcoming exams in algebra and single variable courses. They are worried about being behind and not achieving their goal of getting an A. They are open to suggestions such as doing practice problems, seeking help, and studying with friends. Despite having only 26 days until the first exam, the person is reassured that it is not too late and that 8 hours of studying per day for 42 days should be enough to ace the exams.

Hi!
I'm new writing on this forum, even though I've been though I've been around before.

My question relates to the fact that I have my exam in algebra in just 26 days. 16 days later I've an exam in single variable course. Since I feel that I am very behind, and I've set the highest goal of getting an A, I fear that I won't make it. I just feel that I need advice on strategy and how to study these coming weeks. Is it too late...you can be honest, I promise I won't break=)

Do practice problems, ask for help from TAs or professors, study with friends, etc...

Starting to study hard 26 days out from an exam is a good sign.

I've had exams where I didn't have any time to study until 2-3 days before.

42 days is a ton! If you study 8 hours per day during those you have studied for 336 hours, that should be way more than enough for acing the exams. So just sit down and start working.

Hello there! First of all, congratulations on setting a high goal for yourself and recognizing that you need some guidance with your upcoming exams. I can understand the pressure and stress that comes with preparing for exams. However, I want to assure you that it is not too late to make progress and achieve your goal of getting an A.

Here are some tips and strategies that may help you:

1. Prioritize your studying: Start by making a list of all the topics and concepts that will be covered in your exams. Then, prioritize them based on your understanding and the weightage given to them in the syllabus. This will help you focus on the most important topics first and allocate your time accordingly.

2. Create a study schedule: Once you have prioritized your topics, create a study schedule for the next 26 days. Make sure to include breaks and review sessions in your schedule to avoid burnout and to reinforce your learning.

3. Utilize available resources: Take advantage of any study materials provided by your instructor or textbook. You can also use online resources such as video tutorials, practice quizzes, and study guides to supplement your learning.

4. Practice, practice, practice: Mathematics and science subjects require regular practice to master the concepts. Make sure to solve as many practice problems as you can to improve your understanding and speed.

5. Seek help when needed: Don't hesitate to reach out to your instructor or classmates if you have any doubts or need clarification on a concept. You can also form study groups with your peers to discuss and review the material together.

6. Take care of yourself: It is essential to take care of your physical and mental well-being during this time. Make sure to get enough rest, eat well, and take breaks to avoid burnout and maintain your focus.

Remember, it is normal to feel behind and overwhelmed during exam season, but with dedication and a well-planned strategy, you can still achieve your goal of getting an A. I wish you all the best for your exams!
