AI Thread Summary
The "find more posts by" function can be accessed by clicking the member's name and then the number of messages displayed in the user popup. This method is more efficient than previously clicking through to the profile page and then the postings tab. Users noted that the clickable nature of the message count is not obvious, suggesting that it could be improved by underlining or changing the color to match other links. Additionally, the message count below the member's avatar in thread views is also clickable. Enhancing visibility of these clickable elements could improve user experience.

How can I accomplish the "find more posts by" function that used to be offered when a posters name was clicked?

Click the member's name then click the number displayed for messages in the user popup.

Ah, that saves a step for me. I was clicking on "Profile Page", then the "Postings" tab. It's not at all obvious that the number of messages is clickable, whereas some of the other things in the same font in that block aren't. I wonder if the software can be tweaked to underline it, and the other items that are clickable. Or display them in the same color as the links in the top section of that display.

Also, one can click the number of messages below the member's avatar when viewing a thread.

I want to thank those members who interacted with me a couple of years ago in two Optics Forum threads. They were @Drakkith, @hutchphd, @Gleb1964, and @KAHR-Alpha. I had something I wanted the scientific community to know and slipped a new idea in against the rules. Thank you also to @berkeman for suggesting paths to meet with academia. Anyway, I finally got a paper on the same matter as discussed in those forum threads, the fat lens model, got it peer-reviewed, and IJRAP...
About 20 years ago, in my mid-30s (and with a BA in economics and a master's in business), I started taking night classes in physics hoping to eventually earn the science degree I'd always wanted but never pursued. I found physics forums and used it to ask questions I was unable to get answered from my textbooks or class lectures. Unfortunately, work and life got in the way and I never got further the freshman courses. Well, here it is 20 years later. I'm in my mid-50s now, and in a...
