Hydraulic high pressure piping project

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on selecting the appropriate material grade for high-pressure piping capable of withstanding a maximum pressure of 25,000 PSI. Key specifications include a minimum inner diameter of 10-13 mm, a pipe thickness of no less than 3 mm, and the requirement for seamless construction. The operating temperature range is specified between 1550-1850 degrees Fahrenheit. Participants emphasize the importance of understanding calculations and formulas to ensure safety and compliance in high-pressure applications.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of material properties for high-pressure applications
  • Knowledge of pressure vessel design standards
  • Familiarity with seamless pipe manufacturing processes
  • Basic principles of fluid dynamics and pressure calculations
NEXT STEPS
  • Research ASTM standards for high-pressure piping materials
  • Learn about pressure vessel design calculations
  • Explore the properties of different materials suitable for high-pressure applications
  • Investigate the manufacturing processes for seamless pipes
USEFUL FOR

Engineers, project managers, and safety professionals involved in high-pressure piping systems, as well as anyone responsible for material selection and compliance in hydraulic applications.

dear friend
i am hydraulic high pressure piping project. but i not aware of calculations and formulas
so can anyone tell me "how to select & buy a correct material grade for the high pressure pipe .

i know the values
1. max pressure with stand = 25,000 PSI
2.Minimum Inner Dia :10-13 mm
3.Thickness of the pipe or Tube=Not less than 3mm
4.type :seamless or any
5.1550-1850 degrees Fahrenheit
please help friends

Welcome to the PF.

You are working on this project, but you don't know how to do the calculations? That sounds a bit dangerous...
