That's a bummer. PF should have an IRC channel or something then.
With IRC it is more convenient to idle or to be afk. It's annoying to constantly keep a browser open to idle in a chat.

Why not?

I'd suggest discord. Completely free and can be used in your browser, as an app or on your desktop. Its really easy to use and looks tight. It's mostly used for voice chat by gamers, but the default landing of your newly made channel is a chat. Which is also excellent.

I don't see a downside yet of making a channel for PF. It takes no load on the PF servers like the previous chat.
