In summary, data communication is the process of transferring information between two devices or systems through the use of signals. These signals can be in the form of electromagnetic waves, electrical impulses, or light pulses. The role of signals in data communication is to carry the information from one point to another, either through wired or wireless means. This process involves encoding the data into a signal, transmitting it through a medium, and decoding it at the receiving end. Different types of signals, such as analog and digital, are used for various types of data communication, and the efficiency and speed of the communication depend on the quality and strength of the signals. Overall, understanding signals is crucial in data communication as it ensures the successful and accurate transfer of information.
