Infra red port for board camera

AI Thread Summary
To create an infrared port for a board camera with RCA output, it's important to note that standard infrared ports cannot handle digitized video due to insufficient bandwidth. Users seeking to transmit video should consider alternatives that support higher data rates. The discussion highlights the limitations of inexpensive infrared technology for video transmission. A more suitable solution may involve using a different method or technology that can accommodate the required video quality. Understanding these constraints is crucial for successful implementation.

Does anyone know how to make an infrared port for a board camera to transfer video to a pocket pc, the camera is analog with RCA output.

You won't be able to transmit digitized video over a cheap infrared port. The bandwidth is much, much too low.
