Is it Taylor Dispersion or Something Similar in Drug Injection?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the distinction between "diffusion" and "dispersion" in the context of drug injection into the bloodstream. Participants highlight the ambiguity in terminology and suggest that Taylor dispersion may be relevant to the topic. A request for references to clarify the differences between these terms is made. The conversation emphasizes the need for precise language in scientific writing. Understanding these concepts is crucial for accurately describing drug behavior in physiological systems.

I'm having a wording issue in a paper I'm writing. Specifically, I'm trying to decide between arguing something is "diffusion" vs. "dispersion". Can anyone point me to a reference that clearly demarcates between these?

In specific, I'm referring to the diffusion/dispersion of an injected drug in the bloodstream.

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
