Is the New World Order Closer Than We Think?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the belief in a New World Order, specifically regarding the idea that international banking cartels aim to dominate the global economy. Participants reference the European debt crisis and the potential introduction of euro bonds and a central bank for Europe as indicators of this trend. Additionally, the concept of an Amero currency unifying the economies of Mexico, Canada, and the US is mentioned as part of the broader conversation about global governance. However, the thread emphasizes that these notions are often viewed as conspiracy theories. Instead of focusing on these theories, the conversation suggests that it is more productive to understand the actual causes of the credit crisis and the resulting global economic downturn, rather than indulging in fears of hidden agendas.

Does anybody here believe in the New Word Order. Namely, the plan by the international banking cartels to take over the world's economy. I ask this because since the European debt crisis, I have heard talk of a euro bond, and the creation of a central bank for all of Europe. Also, back in the 2000's there was talk of an Amero currency unifying the currencies of Mexico, Canada, and the US. Are these crazy conspiracies, or is one world government closer than we think?

They are conspiracy theories that we will not be entertaining here. It would be infinitely more beneficial for people to learn the real reasons why the credit crisis occurred and caused the global economic turndown than to pander to fears of monsters in the shadows.

Thread 'My experience as a hostage'
I believe it was the summer of 2001 that I made a trip to Peru for my work. I was a private contractor doing automation engineering and programming for various companies, including Frito Lay. Peru was still suffering the ills of a recent civil war and I knew it was dicey, but the money was too good to pass up. It was a long trip to Lima; about 14 hours of airtime...
