Is Wireless Current Transmission Possible Over Long Distances?

AI Thread Summary
Wireless current transmission via electromagnetic induction is feasible only over short distances. The consensus in the discussion is that long-distance transmission of current wirelessly is not possible. This limitation restricts the practical applications of such technology. The topic is frequently raised, indicating ongoing interest and curiosity. Ultimately, advancements in this area remain constrained by current scientific understanding.

We all know that current can be induced in a coil other than the coil carrying current by electromagnetic induction. This type of wireless current transmission is possible only in a limited or short distance. My question is that can we transmit current over long distances.this could have many uses

Thread 'Motional EMF in Faraday disc, co-rotating magnet axial mean flux'
So here is the motional EMF formula. Now I understand the standard Faraday paradox that an axis symmetric field source (like a speaker motor ring magnet) has a magnetic field that is frame invariant under rotation around axis of symmetry. The field is static whether you rotate the magnet or not. So far so good. What puzzles me is this , there is a term average magnetic flux or "azimuthal mean" , this term describes the average magnetic field through the area swept by the rotating Faraday...
