Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around how to draw the circuit for a remote control car identified by the serial numbers S215001J and S215001TJ. Participants explore the specifics of the circuit design, the components involved, and the motivations behind reverse engineering the schematic.

Discussion Character

  • Homework-related
  • Technical explanation
  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant requests assistance in drawing the circuit for the specified remote control car.
  • Another participant questions the specificity of the request and suggests using Google for information.
  • A participant notes that the only search results are forum posts asking similar questions and seeks clarification on the significance of the serial numbers.
  • Multiple participants provide vague references to having the circuit but do not elaborate on its details.
  • One participant outlines a method for identifying components and drawing the circuit, suggesting that it is a task manageable by a younger student, while also implying that assistance may not be readily available.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus on the best approach to drawing the circuit, and there are differing opinions on the feasibility of the task and the necessity of assistance.

Contextual Notes

Participants express uncertainty about the context of the serial numbers and the specific components involved, which may affect the ability to provide accurate guidance.

This is too specific. Did you try google?

Well, the only hits so far in Google are to this forum post, and several other posts in other forums asking this question.

What are these serial numbers? Are they off of an IC, or off of the remote control and a car or something? Why do you want to reverse engineer their schematics?

This is the circuit

Why do you want to draw the circuit schematic?

How old are you? This is really easy. You first need to identify all the parts by the numbers and rings printed on them. Then you get the data sheets from the Internet for everything that has more than 2 pins to find out which pin is which. Then you flip the board around where you can see the copper paths and check which pins they connect and draw the appropriate circuit. It takes quite some time, but most of it can be done by a sixth grader. No one here will do it for you, unless you live in the outback and this is the only way to get your 4 year old son out of a well he fell into...
