Magnetic permeability of water vapour

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The magnetic permeability of water vapor is not readily available in standard references, as highlighted in the forum discussion. Participants suggested determining it through the dipole moment of the water molecule, referencing resources such as HyperPhysics and various academic papers. Additionally, the importance of correct spelling in search queries was emphasized, as it can significantly affect search results. Overall, the discussion indicates a lack of direct data on this specific property of water vapor.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of magnetic permeability concepts
  • Familiarity with dipole moments in molecular physics
  • Basic knowledge of electromagnetism
  • Ability to conduct academic research using scientific databases
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the dipole moment of water molecules using HyperPhysics
  • Explore academic papers on magnetic properties of gases
  • Investigate the relationship between molecular structure and magnetic permeability
  • Learn about the methods for measuring magnetic permeability in gases
USEFUL FOR

Researchers in physics, chemists studying molecular properties, and students interested in electromagnetism will benefit from this discussion on the magnetic permeability of water vapor.

I have no idea what this is about, but a little searching and I came up with http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&pid=S0104-66322004000200016" .

I found http://www.appchem.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/appchem/labs/kitazawa/magnet/res/nakagawa.pdf" .

Those may be no help, but if you spelled permeability the same way you did in your post (an easy mistake), that might explain why you didn't find anything. Try again with corrected spelling (if that was the case).

Good luck!
