When I reply to a post via the Quote button or the Go Advanced option, I cannot see the post numbers which seems to render them rather useless. Am I missing something here? Or do others have this problem too?

Yeah, it's really irritating. I have to open the thread in another window if I want to refer to anything.
 
Yes, I use Evo's trick and would really welcome a change.

I want to thank those members who interacted with me a couple of years ago in two Optics Forum threads. They were @Drakkith, @hutchphd, @Gleb1964, and @KAHR-Alpha.
