If you put a diode in circuit with a piece of metal, heat the metal so the electrons start jiggling about the diode should let only the elctrons going in a certain direction through thus creating a small current. I read somewhere this does not work but it did not explain why, or does it work in that sense but not in the sense of creating a current from nothing as you have to heat the metal ?
