Mini heat element Construction

AI Thread Summary
A user seeks advice on creating a small, rod-shaped, battery-powered heating element to maintain 4 ounces of liquid at 95-100 degrees Fahrenheit. The heating rod must be submerged, raising concerns about suitable materials for construction. It should be 4-5 inches long and powered by two 9-volt batteries. The user references "Urinators" products for inspiration on heating elements. Suggestions for materials and construction techniques are requested to help realize this project.

Hello to all, glad to be here. I have a sort of general question about the construction of a small, rod shaped, battery powered (2 9volts), heating element, that will keep approximately 4 ounces of fluid at a steady temperature between 95 and 100 degrees Farentheit. The heating rod will need to be submerged in the liquid, so does that rule out most available materials? Furthermore, the rod will need to be 4-5 inches long max. For any of you MacGuivers out there, all suggestions will be greatly appreciated! I have the exact image of what I want in my head, but have no Earthly idea on how to create such A device. If you're pondering on what exactly I do have in mind...just check out the heating elements included in all "Urinators" products.

I need to calculate the amount of water condensed from a DX cooling coil per hour given the size of the expansion coil (the total condensing surface area), the incoming air temperature, the amount of air flow from the fan, the BTU capacity of the compressor and the incoming air humidity. There are lots of condenser calculators around but they all need the air flow and incoming and outgoing humidity and then give a total volume of condensed water but I need more than that. The size of the...

Let's say we have a cylinder of volume V1 with a frictionless movable piston and some gas trapped inside with pressure P1 and temperature T1. On top of the piston lay some small pebbles that add weight and essentially create the pressure P1. Also the system is inside a reservoir of water that keeps its temperature constant at T1. The system is in equilibrium at V1, P1, T1. Now let's say i put another very small pebble on top of the piston (0,00001kg) and after some seconds the system...
