SUMMARY

The forum discussion centers on generating innovative final year project ideas related to cars and electronics. A user proposes developing a powered bicycle that combines a petrol engine with an electric motor, achieving speeds over 30 mph and a range of approximately 100 miles using a lithium battery. Other contributors suggest exploring piezoelectric technology for energy generation in bicycles and aerodynamic systems for cars. The conversation emphasizes the potential market gap for electric-assist bicycles and the feasibility of integrating advanced technologies into personal transportation.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of electric motor technology
  • Familiarity with lithium battery systems
  • Knowledge of piezoelectric components and their applications
  • Basic principles of aerodynamics in vehicle design
NEXT STEPS
  • Research electric bicycle design and components
  • Explore piezoelectric energy generation methods
  • Investigate hybrid vehicle systems and their efficiencies
  • Study aerodynamic enhancements for vehicles
USEFUL FOR

Engineering students, automotive enthusiasts, and innovators looking to develop sustainable transportation solutions.

what are your interests?
what field(s) do you want to work in after graduation?

what recent advances have there been in that field? (google scholar, and doaj.org are very useful. Your school's library probably also has access to non-free journals.

of these advances, which would you like to extrapolate on?

What is your dream-widget (the invention/development that you want to give the world before you die)? Can you take steps towards that?

What phenomena/development do you know very well (can you explain something inside and out to a non-technical person?)
