AI Thread Summary
Profile pictures, or avatars, are exclusive features for specific user roles such as contributors, Homework Helpers, and Science Advisors on the platform. Users who do not hold these roles will not have their profile pictures displayed in posts. This limitation has led to confusion among users who have edited their accounts to include a profile picture but see no change in their posts. The discussion highlights the need for clarity regarding avatar availability based on user status. Understanding these restrictions can help users manage their expectations regarding profile picture visibility.
