Other Nuclear engineering vs nuclear physics vs quantum physics

Click For Summary
Choosing the right college for studying nuclear subjects in physics and chemistry is crucial for a successful career. Students interested in nuclear engineering or physics should consider programs that offer a strong focus on nuclear science, including coursework in nuclear reactions, radiation, and reactor design. Potential career paths include roles in energy production, medical applications, and research institutions. It's also possible to study both nuclear engineering and nuclear physics, depending on the college's curriculum and offerings. Researching colleges with specialized programs and speaking to current students or alumni can provide valuable insights into the best fit for these interests.

So i have lots of questions like what I'll study and the applications of it , where I'll work and which one is deeply focus on nuclear stuff.

Hi all, Hope you are doing well. I'm a current grad student in applied geophysics and will finish my PhD in about 2 years (previously did a HBSc in Physics, did research in exp. quantum optics). I chose my current field because of its practicality and its clear connection to industry, not out of passion (a clear mistake). I notice that a lot of people (colleagues) switch to different subfields of physics once they graduate and enter post docs. But 95% of these cases fall into either of...
