Pertinent question regarding time traveling

AI Thread Summary
Traveling back in time raises questions about spatial positioning due to Earth's movement, suggesting a time traveler might end up in space rather than their original location. The connection between time and space is debated, with some arguing that a time traveler would still occupy their previous position but in the past. The discussion also explores the concept of multiple dimensions of time, questioning whether higher time dimensions could influence our experience of time travel. Additionally, the necessity for any time-traveling device to account for spatial coordinates is emphasized, as there are no fixed positions in space independent of time. Overall, the complexities of time travel involve both spatial and temporal considerations that challenge conventional understanding.

Suppose I traveled back in time 10 seconds. As the Earth is revolving around the sun at a great speed, I would end up in outer space as the Earth 10 seconds ago hasn't yet reached my actual position.

Or, as time and space are connected, would I still end up where I am sitting now, but 10 seconds in the past, and perhaps on the lap of my past self? And more, if space has many dimensions, is it possible that time also has more than one dimension? Could we somehow be affected by higher time dimensions?

There are no universal (time-independent) positions in space, but any time-travelling device would have to take locations into account to be useful.

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
