AI Thread Summary
A doctorate in physics opens up a variety of career paths beyond teaching. Graduates can pursue roles in research and development, industry positions in technology and engineering, government research labs, and roles in data analysis or finance. The job market for physics PhDs can be competitive, but demand exists in sectors like aerospace, healthcare, and renewable energy. Networking, internships, and gaining practical experience during the doctoral program can enhance employability in these fields.
