How can I increase the output current from a piezoelectric trasnducer using PZT ceramic? The requirement is about 1.2 Amp but currently I'm only getting about 0.2 mA per unit.

A piezoelectric transducer "looks like a capacitor to the circuit trying to use it".

You should be thinking in terms of energy flow = power. You do not specify the voltage generated or required, so I can't calculate power. What is the waveform and frequency of the physical stimulus?

What does the transducer work against? Can you move the transducer to place it where the two sides are driven by a solid 180° phase movement.

A transformer will reduce the voltage while increasing the current. You would need a transformer with a voltage reduction ratio, or turns ratio of n = 1200/0.2 = 6000. That might best be done in two stages of ratio 77:1, or three stages of 18:1.
