AI Thread Summary
Quoting posts on Physics Forums can lead to issues where only part of a post appears in the message composition window. This problem may be related to posts being edited or deleted during the quoting process. Users have noted that the issue persists in certain browsers, while others, like Chrome 28, seem to quote correctly. Waiting for the forum activity to stabilize before attempting to quote again is suggested. Ensuring compatibility with different browsers may help resolve these quoting issues.

In the thread https://www.physicsforums.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=4445900 , when I try to quote post #65 only the first part of it shows up in the message composition window.

Edit: The problem may be that posts are being edited or deleted while I'm trying to quote them. I'll wait till things settle down and try again.

Anyway, I finally got a paper on the same matter as discussed in those forum threads, the fat lens model, got it peer-reviewed, and IJRAP...
About 20 years ago, in my mid-30s (and with a BA in economics and a master's in business), I started taking night classes in physics hoping to eventually earn the science degree I'd always wanted but never pursued. I found physics forums and used it to ask questions I was unable to get answered from my textbooks or class lectures. Unfortunately, work and life got in the way and I never got further the freshman courses. Well, here it is 20 years later. I'm in my mid-50s now, and in a...
