"ScienceDaily News" & Other Similar Physics Sources

I'm retired and a little out of touch - no technical library.

I subscribe to the free emails from ScienceDaily News on Quantum Physics News. It's an excellent source with links to advanced research especially in areas of photon entanglement, nano technology, etc.

I was not aware of ScienceDaily News until recently.

What are some of the other similar science news email subscriptions?

Know of any comprehensive list of free scientific research sources?

On another subject, biomechanics and medicine, the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) has many free full publications available. (PMC = free full publications)

Are there similar sources for physics publications?

Any links for general discussions of the current publication landscape for physics?

Thanks for your help. Other sources for physics news include Physics World, Physics Today, Nature Physics, Phys.org, Science News, and the American Physical Society's Physics Buzz website. For comprehensive lists of free scientific research sources, the Directory of Open Access Journals is a great resource. It contains over 12,000 journals in all areas of science, including physics. The Open Access Directory, run by the Open Access Initiative, is another excellent resource that lists open access scholarly publications across multiple disciplines, including physics. For general discussions of the current publication landscape for physics, some helpful resources include the Open Science Framework and the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition.
