Search Tab Glitch: Does it Happen to You?

AI Thread Summary
Users are experiencing a glitch where clicking the search bar adds "&nojs=1#navbar_search" to the URL and causes the screen to wiggle. This issue may be related to JavaScript being disabled, as it appears to be the intended behavior in that case. Attempting to open the search in a new tab does not resolve the problem, although the "advanced search" link can be used successfully. Some users suggest it might be linked to security settings. Understanding the cause can help users troubleshoot if the issue recurs.

Sometimes when I click the search bar instead of searching it adds &nojs=1#navbar_search to the url and wiggles the screen. Does this happen to anyone else?

Do you try to open it as link in a new tab? That does not work (it is possible with the link "advanced search").
Did you disable JavaScript? In that case, it is the intended result.

Anyway, I finally got a paper on the same matter as discussed in those forum threads, the fat lens model, got it peer-reviewed, and IJRAP...
About 20 years ago, in my mid-30s (and with a BA in economics and a master's in business), I started taking night classes in physics hoping to eventually earn the science degree I'd always wanted but never pursued. I found physics forums and used it to ask questions I was unable to get answered from my textbooks or class lectures. Unfortunately, work and life got in the way and I never got further the freshman courses. Well, here it is 20 years later. I'm in my mid-50s now, and in a...
