Assistance is sought for modeling an RG58 coax cable in Ansoft Maxwell SV to determine its series impedance and resistance. The characteristic impedance can be calculated using the formula Z = 138 log (D/d), where D and d are the diameters of the outer and inner conductors, respectively. The user has successfully calculated conductance, inductance, and capacitance using electrostatic and magnetostatic solvers but struggles with selecting the correct geometry and solver for series resistance. The software's limited tutorials make it challenging to build an accurate geometric model. The goal is to simulate the coax cable effectively to analyze its electrical properties.
