Simple Integral question (Exponents)

Homework Statement

$$\int \frac{6^x+12^x}{2^x}dx$$

Homework Equations

$$\int a^udu= \frac{a^u}{ln a} +C$$

I don't know where to begin, I tried using parts but gave up.

Make your life simpler by getting rid of the denominator.

6^x = (2 * 3)^x = 2^x * 3^x. You can apply the same idea to 12^x.
