Hi I am looking around for some way to model magnetic fields through a simple core with an air gap similar to this image :

I was thinking Comsol... but Comsol is so hard to figure out, their documentation is terrible... I was looking at FEMM, but its only on windows. Does anyone know how to model this in comsol, or know a easier way to do it on mac ? Otherwise... would I be better off buying a windows machine and using Solidworks or FEMM or something else?
