I noticed the sum of the coefficients is 1 so (x-1) is a factor:

2x^3-x^2-7x+6 = (x-1)(x+2)(2x-3)

That should get you started!
 
try it,
x^2 + 7x>6x + 2x^3
or, 2x^3 - x^2 -x<0
or, x(2x^2 - x - 1)<0
this implies, either x<0 or (2x^2 - x - 1) <0
as the expression is negative which is only possible if one of the term is negative.

You have read the problem incorrectly. It should read
x^2 + 7x &gt; 6 + 2x^3

Here I made a terrible mistake of assuming this to be an equilateral triangle and set 2sinx=1 => x=pi/6. Although this did derive the double angle formulas it also led into a terrible mess trying to find all the combinations of sides. I must have been tired and just assumed 6x=180 and 2sinx=1. By that time, I was so mindset that I nearly scolded a person for even saying 90-x.
