AI Thread Summary
A suggestion was made to create a new forum topic titled "Interpretation of Science" or "Philosophy of Science." However, there is skepticism about the demand for such forums, especially since the existing philosophy forum already covers related discussions. Concerns were raised that these titles might attract non-scientists, diluting the focus of the forum. Additionally, the suggestion's validity was questioned due to the new member's limited participation in the forum. The discussion highlights the need for careful consideration before introducing new topics.

I do not know under which forum subject this would be appropriate, but a forum topic with a title,

Interpretation of Science
or
Philosophy of Science
(I'm afraid, this title may attract many non-scientists)

should be introduced.

When we make a new forum it's because there are a large number of threads that warrant it. I don't see the demand for either of those new forums (for the latter, we have the philosophy forum).

I want to thank those members who interacted with me a couple of years ago in two Optics Forum threads. They were @Drakkith, @hutchphd, @Gleb1964, and @KAHR-Alpha. I had something I wanted the scientific community to know and slipped a new idea in against the rules. Thank you also to @berkeman for suggesting paths to meet with academia. Anyway, I finally got a paper on the same matter as discussed in those forum threads, the fat lens model, got it peer-reviewed, and IJRAP...

I found physics forums and used it to ask questions I was unable to get answered from my textbooks or class lectures. Unfortunately, work and life got in the way and I never got further the freshman courses. Well, here it is 20 years later. I'm in my mid-50s now, and in a...
