I agree, Sky & Telescope and Astronomy seem to be the two most widely read astronomy magazines. (At least in the USA)

The best advice for anyone curious about astronomy is look before you leap. You will not enjoy a scope that is more painful to break out and use than your desire to peer into the heavens. nuff said.
